Similar to China’s College Entrance Examination, the exam is considered to be one of the most important tests in a student's academic career.

The exam consists of five subjects including Korean language, mathematics, English, social and natural sciences as well as a second foreign language.
The government has taken measures to control traffic and ensure the students are not disturbed and the tests run as smoothly as possible.
