US President-elect Donald Trump agreed on Friday to pay 25 million US dollars to settle legal cases against Trump University, a pay-off confirmed by both the New York State Attorney General's office and a Trump spokesperson.

The Trump University was supposed to offer students skills for the real estate market, but it failed to keep its promises, and was closed in 2011. However, since its closure it has been the target of ongoing lawsuits by disgruntled applicants.
According to New York State Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman, "every victim will receive restitution" and the state of New York will receive one million dollars in fines.
