Breaking News: A Nigerian air force jet on Tuesday accidentally killed at least 50 people

A Nigerian air force jet on Tuesday accidentally killed at least 50 people and injured more than 100 others in Rann located in the the north-east of the country, the military has said.
Aid workers deployed in the region are among the casualties of the incident.
Red Cross says six of its workers are among those confirmed dead from the incident.
Army spokesman Maj-Gen Lucky Irabor said the jet's pilot mistakenly believed he was attacking insurgents. He said the mission had been ordered, based on intelligence about a gathering of Boko Haram fighters.
