Nigeria are hoping to prise Everton's Ademola Lookman away from a future with England.
According to reports, Nigeria FA chiefs have launched an audacious bid to poach the Everton player, 19, from under England’s noses.
Lookman's representatives, as per UK media outlet Mirror, held talks with the Nigerian Football Federation officials last week about his international future.
And Nigeria boss Gernot Rohr is now planning to travel to England to try and lure the forward to switch allegiance.
Rohr wants to move quickly and has earmarked the former Charlton Athletic man for a place in his squad for Nigeria's friendly against Senegal in March.
Lookman, born in London to Nigerian parents, has played for England's under-19s and 20s but is now wanted by Nigeria after making an instant impact since his £11m January move to Everton.
He scored minutes after coming on for his debut against Manchester City and has been involved in the Toffee's last five games.
