Obasanjo Is a Pan-African Leader- Amosun

Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, has described the Pan-Nigerian and Pan African nature of former President Olusegun Obasanjo as an enduring legacy, which would always stand him out.
Governor Amosun stated this, on Sunday, while speaking at the birthday lecture and reception organized as part of activities marking the 80th birthday of former President Obasanjo.
The lecture and reception followed a thanksgiving service held earlier in the day at the Chapel of Christ the Light, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, OOPL complex, Abeokuta.
Governor Amosun described former President Obasanjo as one of the few persons who have the rear privilege of writing a long and eventful history of their life sojourn.
The governor also seized the occasion to publicly thank the former President for choosing to site the Presidential Library, which is the first of its kind in Africa, in Abeokuta.
Governor Amosun described the Presidential Library as a repository of knowledge, which will cater for the appetite of knowledge-seeking individuals both within and outside Nigeria.
Speaking earlier in the day, during the thanksgiving service, former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Reverend Sunday Mbang, described former President Obasanjo as the best President Nigeria has ever had.
He thanked the former President for building a chapel in the Aso Rock Presidential Villa. He also commended the former President for having consistently held morning devotions at the Chapel while serving as President.
