Yota Arena, the largest eSports arena in Europe, opened officially in Russia’s capital city on Friday.
The two-storey complex houses a computer club, a stage for competitions and performances, a restaurant, a virtual reality bar, a karaoke room and an eSports goods store.
The arena spans across 5,000 square meters, which is several times grander than similar arenas in the US – the Esports Arena (about 1,400 square meters) and MLG.tv Columbus Arena (1,300 square meters).

The venue in Moscow received an investment of over five million US dollars from world leading eSports organization ESforce.

eSports refers to computer and video game competitions between professional teams and players. The sport is legally recognized in 16 countries including Russia and China.
