The United States elected Donald Trump as its 45th President after winning a majority of the electoral college vote on November 9, 2016. He fell short of popular vote by as much as 2 million votes. Here are 17 facts you should Know about him: .'

1- Born in New York City on June 14, 1946, he received a Bachelor Degree in Economics from the Wharton School , University of Pennysylvania in 1968. At age 70, he will be the oldest President ever sworn into office.

2- He is the second youngest child of five of his four siblings, which are: Maryanne, Elizabeth, Robert and his elder brother, Fred Jr who died in 1981 from alcoholism.

3- He is of German ancestry on his father's side and Scottish ancestry on his mother's side; all four of his grandparents were born in Europe. His father Fred Trump (1905-1999) was born in Queens to parents from Kallstadt, Germany and became one of biggest real estate developer in New York City.Hos mother Mary Trump (1912-2000), was born in Tong, Lewis, Scotland. Fred and Mary met in New York and married in 1936.

4- After College, he worked for his grandfather's company and convinced him to develop and expand real estate opportunities. According to Trump's biography, his father often said, ''everything my son touches seems to turn to gold.

5- He was given control of the company in 1971 and , in one of his first facts, renamed it to the Trump Organisations. He became the President of the Organisation in 1973. That year, he and his father drew wider attention when the Justice Department alleged that they discriminating against Black who wanted to rent apartments, rather than merely screening out people based on low income as the Trump stated.

On the tape, Trump is head bragging about forcibly kissing and groping women with the show's then-chost Billy Bush. He stated that: I just start kissing them.... I do not even wait. And when you are a star, they let you do it,  you can do anything.... grab them by the pussy. He also spoke of his efforts to seduce a married woman, saying he moved on them very heavily.
